Privacy policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
This policy covers theovernightrate.com. We keep data collection small on purpose.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you sign up. We store the address, the page you signed up from and the time. Nothing else is asked for.
- Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy.
- Server logs. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for. We may ask you to confirm your address before the first issue goes out.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site running and protect it from abuse.
We don't sell your email address or share it with advertisers. We use beehiiv to deliver the newsletter. Your address is shared with beehiiv only so it can deliver the email and manage unsubscribe requests.
Your choices
- Every email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to delete your address at any time by emailing hello@theovernightrate.com.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Email hello@theovernightrate.com with the request.
Retention and security
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Addresses are stored in private, access-controlled storage with our hosting provider.
Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
